Usage rules
These terms set out the rules that apply to the Archaeo Games website, games, and services.

These Terms of Use govern access to archaeo-games.com, Archaeo Puzzle, Archaeo Defense, and future games or services released under the Archaeo Games name.
These services are published by Damien Prybis. The publisher's full identity, contact address, publication director, and hosting provider are stated in the Legal Notice.
Use of a third-party service, including Google Play or Google Play Games, also remains subject to that service's terms and settings.

By using the website or an Archaeo Games title, the user accepts the version of these terms then in force. If the user does not accept these rules, they must stop using the relevant service.
Archaeo Games titles are general-audience entertainment. When a minor accesses a game, their legal guardian should check the age rules, family settings, and purchase permissions that apply to the account and device.
Access may require a compatible device, an internet connection, a platform account, or a recent version of the game. Any equipment, connection, or data charges remain the user's responsibility.

Archaeo Games titles are entertainment works intended for a general audience. They draw inspiration from civilizations, places, artifacts, people, and historical events while incorporating imagined stories, artistic interpretations, and mechanics designed for play.
The texts, environments, characters, objects, monuments, maps, and events shown are not exhaustive scientific or archaeological reconstructions. Simplifications, adaptations, compressed timelines, fictional elements, or anachronisms may be introduced to support the narrative, artistic direction, and gameplay experience.
The images and visual representations in the games and on the Archaeo Games website are artistic illustrations. They may not accurately reflect the appearance, proportions, uses, or actual historical context of the elements shown.
The content provided is not a substitute for authoritative historical, archaeological, academic, or museum sources.

Levels, achievements, collections, resources, energy, virtual currencies, items, and rewards are part of the progression mechanics. Their balance, presentation, conditions for obtaining them, and availability may change to improve the game or preserve its operation.
Features may use Google Play Games, a player ID, or local or cloud saves. The user remains responsible for the security of their Google account and should verify data synchronization before changing or resetting a device or uninstalling a game.
No save system can be guaranteed to operate without interruption or loss in every circumstance. If a problem occurs, the user may contact support with their player ID and relevant information, without sharing their password.

Some games may offer optional in-app purchases. Transactions are processed by Google Play or the platform identified at the time of purchase. Payment, billing, and refund requests are governed by that platform's rules and the consumer's mandatory statutory rights.
Some games may also display advertising or rewarded videos. When a virtual reward is offered, it is limited to the relevant game and has no monetary value outside it. Consent and ad-personalization choices are managed in accordance with the Privacy Policy and the available settings.
An in-app purchase is not a wager, an investment, or the acquisition of an ownership right in the game or its virtual elements.

Games released under the Archaeo Games name, including Archaeo Puzzle and Archaeo Defense, do not offer or promote real-money gambling.
They do not allow users to wager money or property of real-world value and provide no opportunity to win money, goods, services, or any other reward of real-world value.
Virtual currencies, resources, items, and rewards are intended solely for the gameplay experience. They cannot be converted into money or exchanged for goods or services of real-world value.

Archaeo Games grants the user a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable licence to use the games and website for private, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these terms.
Users must not bypass technical protections, modify or redistribute a game without permission, knowingly exploit a vulnerability, automate actions abusively, fraudulently access services, resell an account or virtual resources, or infringe a third party's rights.
A proportionate measure may be taken to protect a service in the event of fraud, a security breach, or a serious violation of these terms, subject to the rights applicable to the user.

Archaeo Games titles, code, text, interfaces, original rules, databases, logos, illustrations, animations, music, soundtracks, sound effects, and other content are protected by applicable rights.
Unless written permission has been granted or a legal exception applies, their reproduction, extraction, adaptation, distribution, availability, or commercial exploitation is prohibited. Media expressly provided in the press kit may be used under the conditions stated there.
Any third-party brands, platforms, works, institutions, and services mentioned remain the property of their respective owners. A historical or cultural reference does not imply affiliation or endorsement.

The games and website may receive fixes, balance adjustments, technical improvements, new content, or feature changes. Some changes may be necessary for security, compatibility, compliance with platform rules, or service continuity.
Permanent, uninterrupted, and error-free availability cannot be guaranteed. Maintenance, a technical incident, a platform change, or the discontinuation of a third-party service may temporarily limit certain features.
If a service is materially changed or discontinued, Archaeo Games will seek to provide reasonable notice where possible, without limiting statutory rights relating to purchases already made.

Data processing related to the website, games, analytics, crash reports, cloud saves, advertising, and support is described in the Privacy Policy. Website cookies and measurement tools are detailed in the Cookie Policy.
When a user submits feedback or contacts support, the information provided is used to handle the request, understand the feedback, and improve the services. Users must not share passwords, banking details, or unnecessary sensitive information.
Links to Google Play, music platforms, social networks, or other external services are provided for convenience. Archaeo Games does not control their content, availability, or terms.

Users must use the services reasonably, follow their device instructions, and install recommended updates. Archaeo Games cannot be held liable for damage resulting from use contrary to these terms, an incompatibility that could not reasonably have been foreseen, or an independent third-party service.
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits mandatory consumer rights, applicable statutory guarantees, or liability that cannot be excluded by law.
The website provides information that may change. If there is a discrepancy about a feature that is actually available, the information shown in the installed version of the game and on its official store listing takes precedence.

These terms are governed by French law, without depriving consumers of mandatory protections available in their country of residence. If a problem arises, users are invited to contact Archaeo Games to seek an amicable solution before taking further action.
These terms may be updated to reflect changes to the games, services, or legal framework. The date of the current version appears at the beginning and end of the page. A material change will be communicated by an appropriate means when it directly affects use of a service.
